We're all off to Cornwall very early tomorrow morning for a 9 day break in Lamorna. After the past few months, it's a welcome break for us all.

Looking at the weather forecast, it looks as if we may see some big seas as it's forecast to be very windy but (hopefully) mainly dry. It doesn't really matter what the weather's like, we'll just enjoy being there.

Thanks everyone :) we are here, arriving Tuesday lunchtime. So far the weather has been dry but it's pretty windy today and forecast to be even windier tomorrow.

It's very quiet in Lamorna, only a few people around. Yesterday, we walked out to Carn Barges and then on to Tater Du lighthouse. Quite a good view of Minack cottage from Carn Barges, much better than in the summer. The bracken doesn't seem to be as high this autumn and I could make out the Ambrose Rock quite clearly from a high vantage point further along the coast path near the rear gate into Minack.

We haven't been to Oliver land yet but plan to go in the next couple of days. I took the photo below from Carn Barges.

Penny our trip went really well. Currently we are on the west coast of Wales. Windy and wet. Very scenic. It's great that the cottage was easier to see for you this time.

It's very windy here too Greg but most of the rain has been overnight. We've been out to Cape Cornwall this morning where it was so windy it was hard to stand up. Quite big seas even at low tide.
